Local call rates vary from state to state and even prison to prison, but it’s usually a flat 30 to 50 cents.

The inmate selects the landline number from their list of approved numbers. It rings and you answer on your mobile through the app.

The call will come through on the Prison Engine mobile app and will display the caller ID of the prison where the call is originating from. It will show the jail’s number, just like any other call coming directly from the facility.

Download the Prison Engine mobile app onto your new device and login with your existing account. Your Engine Number calls will then ring through to your new mobile device.

We have no relationship with the prisons and no way of knowing when your inmate is released unless you tell us.

Simply cancel your subscription when you no longer need it.

You can close your account at anytime. Just log onto your account in our web portal at https://app.prisonengine.com.au, go to your numbers page and press cancel next to the number you wish to cancel.
